Agriculture is both a science and a vocational subject taught at both O and A level in Teso College Aloet. It is one of the subjects that constitutes the backbone of Uganda’s economy employing 80% of the population either directly or indirectly.
At the end of O level, a student is expected to have acquired the basic science and vocational skills for personal and community benefit. Students are able to maintain sound occupational self-reliance.
A person who may opt to be out of secondary education after O level but is interested in formal education can enroll for a certificate course at an agricultural college to study nutrition, general agriculture, and animal husbandry among others.
Teso College Aloet is a center of excellence and an avenue for the enhancement of educational opportunities for sustainable national development, and looks forward to equipping students with agricultural skills for future prosperity.
