Commerce is one of the business subjects taught in Teso College Aloet from senior one up to senior four.
As a vocational subject, commerce benefits learners through acquiring business skills which can be used after their O level course. Many learners sometimes resort to creating their own jobs by starting small businesses wherever they come from.

Topics like the concept of demand, supply, market price, wholesale and retail trade, international trade, business units and aids to trade, provide a background for students to start businesses and become independent in life.
Commerce provides students with a good foundation for Economics at A level after passing it with a credit at O level. Topics like the concept of demand and supply will help the learners in many ways especially when handling market situations. Also, other topics like international trade, money and banking will help students understand the subject correctly and precisely in comparison to students who have never done the subject before.
